MUSCAT: The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science (SQHCCS) on Thursday marked the 15th anniversary of Teacher’s Day.


Teacher's Day is an annual event that embodies appreciation for the role of teachers in grooming generations capable of envisaging future needs and actively participating in Oman’s Renewed Renaissance.


A ceremony to this effect was held at the Institute of Islamic Sciences in the Wilayat of Bausher under the auspices of Habib bin Mohammed al Riyami, Chairman of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science.


The ceremony included the felicitation of 40 teachers from Islamic science institutes, Holy Quran schools and the Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, in addition to educational administrative staff.


The ceremony included student chants in commendation of teachers, folklore shows and a visual presentation showcasing the most prominent achievements of educational establishments. - ONA
